NSW: Flatmate argument ends in stabbing

SYDNEY, April 22 AAP - An argument between flatmates in western Sydney last night ended
when a man was stabbed, leaving him in a critical condition, police said today.

A 24-year-old Oxley Park man will appear in Penrith Local Court this morning charged with
attempted murder and malicious wounding.

The man and his 24-year-old flatmate began arguing about 11.15pm in their Braddon Street
home, a police spokesman said.

"The victim was stabbed in the left side of the chest," the spokesman said.

"Police are still looking for the weapon, believed to be a knife."

The spokesman said the victim was hospitalised in a critical but stable condition.
