According to Al-Bayan newspaper (May 11, 2003), the 9th AGCC e-government,Telecom and Internet Forum opened yesterday at the Al-Bustan Rotana Hotel, Dubai. The five-day event will discusstechnology issues in e-government with particular focus on skills,applications and technology required to transform the way ArabianGulf Cooperation Council (AGCC) Governments do business. The Forumoffers a range of options to participants in initiating andcoordinating trans-agency initiatives, resourcing mission-criticalprograms, and understanding available technologies. "The Forumfocuses on educating attendees on the continuing developments in e-government infrastructure. It is committed to help variousorganizations entrusted with e-government implementation with Citizen-centered, result oriented and market based approach towards e-government," Ali Kamali, managing director of Datamatix said.
